66º North Esja Dog Sledding Parka
By Rocky Thompson on October 10th, 2007I’ve never been one to take jacket design cues from an Icelandic lifestyle company, but maybe I should be since the temperature never rises above -30F in their frozen wasteland country. The 66º North Esja Parka is a houndstooth jacket that people telemarking and dog sledding around Iceland’s capitol city Icelandia consider positively form-fitting and super sleek. Like all clothing in Iceland, the top is trimmed with fake fur and the body is stuffed with down. The 66º North Esja Parka costs about $675.

Didn’t these guys go out of business?
No, they just aren’t distributing to the U.S. anymore.
