Now you can plan a hike in Fiji or hunt for Osama Bin Laden from your desktop because Google has added 54 countries to Google Maps. The Google LatLong Blog lists all 54 countries, most of which located in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The most interesting additions are Cuba, Iran, and Syria.

Japan’s there….but it’s all in Kanji. Now, only China and Japan use Kanji today. Korea stopped using it, except for law books and ripping off Japanese tourists. Signs here offer Kanji or Romanji (writting Japanese words in Roman script). That means everyone can read the signs. Google…get a clue. Japanese folks already have their maps. In Tokyo, most cars have GPS. But tourists and gaijins are clueless…thow us a bone!
