Urine Powered Batteries for Sale in Japan

pee-powered-batteries

The urine-powered batteries I mentioned in March are now for sale in Japan. Available in AA and AAA, the NoPoPo Batteries last for 3 to 5 charges and have a 10-year shelf life making them ideal for survival situations. The NoPoPo Batteries would be great for headlamps on long backpacking trips where you can use urine or other bodily fluids to charge them a couple times—hopefully they don’t leak all over your head.

Seems that the batteries work on any liquid. If I was in a situation where urine was the only liquid I could come up with I think I would have worse problems than the dead batteries in my ipod.

your ipod runs on double A’s? Must be first gen. I am more concerned about getting an electric shot to Mr Winky.

My iPod’s 12 volt. Lasts longer…especially when I’ve been drinking beer all night.

The shameful truth comes out, I dont even own an ipod, ok? Happy now?

I’ll be in the corner with my head down, listening to Mr Big on my walkman, hopefully I dont need to pee on it.
