Someone at Product Dose dug up this relic-looking Active Forever Heart Rate Monitor; it uses a band wrapped around your finger instead of a chest strap to measure your heart rate and calories burned. While we can all agree that it would be nice to ditch the chest strap, I don’t think anyone wants to add this bionic appendage during workouts. It would be like wearing a single glove while running, and you’d have to pretend you can’t hear all the Michael Jackson jokes through your huge headphones with their built-in radio and antenna. The Active Forever Heart Rate Monitor only costs about $70, but you can’t expect it to last long once it’s soaked in sweat.
