SOG Emergency Bi-Polar Knives
By Rocky Thompson on July 9th, 2007Since walking through a few knife booths at tradeshows, I’ve wondered how knife companies choose names for their products. One rep I asked said that a lot of it depends on what’s available in terms of trademarking. That’s why I’m not surprised that SOG was able to secure the name Bi-Polar for a knife with a blade and V-cutter. It seems like most knife companies would shy away from naming their products after psychiatric conditions.

Holding out for the Ronco version: codename - Daisy Slice-a-friend
