We’ll see more of this as cycling transitions into the new surfing—Aloha shirts and Uggs are out, messenger bags and all-white suits with matching leather helmets (apparently) are in. The Pret a Rouler London fashion show had cyclist models pedal down the runway in bike clothing that won’t make you look like a traffic cone if you wear it out after work. I’m all for bike gear that doesn’t make me look homeless, but seeing it in practice gives me the creeps, and where do you find urban biker models?
