The biggest party that includes a 178-mile run begins today in Utah. The Wasatch Back Relay has teams of 12 people running behind the Wasatch Range between shifts of recklessly driving rented passenger vans, drinking 3.2% 12-packs, and sleeping on private land. It’s a fun couple days of sleep deprivation and wicked partying with several people you get to know really well in a matter of days. The only time I ran it we listened to disc two of Brain Jonestown Massacre’s Tepid Peppermint Wonderland on repeat for four hours before anyone noticed. Those were good times; I wish they would take me off their email list.
