Road Brakes More Spendy than (Entire) Cars

The ‘wow’ factor of road bike brakes that only weigh 100 grams per pair (without brake pads) wears off pretty quickly once you hear that they sell for $1300. I know what you’re thinking—is that $1300 for each one? No, it’s the pair, but you’ll still have to find some extra cash to buy brake pads. Ax-lightness makes the Orion Carbon Brake Calipers with all titanium parts and a carbon body. Too bad they can’t make you go faster.
