You can find a lot of stuff sacks that weigh less than 12 ounces, but none of them convert into a cute mini backpacks. What it lacks in Hello Kitty school bag style the Outdoor Research DryComp Summit Sack makes up for in versatility. The shoulder straps wrap the bag in stuff-sack mode, and then you just flip the roll-top bag around when you run out of room in your man purse. It converts to a handy little summit bag with ice axe loops and daisy chains—how cute!
Ive been using a 10oz Marmot Kompressor that way for a few years but missed the ability to put a bottle or jacket on the outside. The Kompressor can be a little small, though this may be a little big. For an extra 2oz, the extra features, extra size and extra protection might be extra handy.
