Pacific Crest Cartography
By Rocky Thompson on April 2nd, 2007A guy who’s hiking from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail has created an online map that combines topographic maps, mile points, color-coded points of interest, elevation profiles, and mini-maps of towns along the way. He hasn’t tested them out yet, but they’re available for free download online. They’re sized for printing on normal paper and about 100 pages to get you across the country. If you have any updates for his maps, send them soon—he’s leaving in two weeks to hike until November.
