Jugglers, Acrobats, and Clowns

surly conundrum

I like to consider myself open minded, but I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to take a guy who rides a unicycle seriously. Proving that they’re less susceptible to common stereotypes than I am, Surly is making a fat tire unicycle called the Conundrum. They argue that unicycle riding is great exercise since balancing one uses more muscles than bikes. They offer several reasons unicycles are cooler than everyone thinks including challenge and portability. They also argue that unicycling isn’t equipment intensive and improves balance for other sports.

Even if that is all true, do you have any idea how big of a pain in the ass it is to change tires on a unicycle?

So for reference, the following things are cool: Unicycling, motors on things that shouldn’t have motors, recycled messenger bags, white things.

The following are played out: Sheep, Ipod clothing, curling, hippies.

This concludes this weeks summary of the Cool Kid Newsletter, available if you know where to get it, and if you have to ask you’ll never know.
