IDEO’s Coasting Bike

The design firm that Shimano hired to research their Coasting project has a bike for sale. IDEO’s a design firm that doesn’t specialize in bikes, so it’s interesting that their bike looks almost exactly like a Dutch city bike—low stand over height, enclosed chain, built-in rack, and leather grips and seat. Pretty soon IDEO will be suggesting cargo bikes like they invented them.
