Rulon Gardner’s been stranded overnight while snowmobiling in Wyoming, hit by a car on his motorcycle, and on Saturday his plane crashed into Lake Powel. He and two guys from American Fork, Utah had to swim to shore and spend the night huddling behind a pile of rocks until a couple off-season fishermen found them in the morning. How often can things like this happen to you until you start thinking it’s more than just bad luck? Gardner’s like Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote—wherever he goes disaster and death follow, I would not go camping with this guy. At least now he’ll be able to write another survival book.
