Fortress Eyewear says they set out in 2002 to find a pair of sunglasses for $25 that they would actually wear. Going home empty handed and utterly humiliated in oversized novelty sunglasses, they decided to build a company. None of their sunglasses are for sale yet, but oddly enough there’s a safety glasses company also named Fortress whose product only costs $5. I guess Fortress Eyewear didn’t look too hard back in ‘02.
