Park City Going Global

Park City Mountain Resort is putting on a $60,000 PowerPoint presentation on January 9th. In conjunction with Powdr Corp, and KPCW radio, the resort is presenting a study on the effects of global warming on skiing in Utah and the snowsport industry in general. The presentation includes a glimpse into the future snow pack through computer-generated models. Sadly, the presentation doesn’t also include models of the futuristic “rocket skis.”Â

Is it just me, or is it really messed up that hardly anyone cared about global warming until they found out it could mess up their ski season?

    Nuh-uh! Global Warming is fake! Bush, my bishop, Fox news, General Motors, Rush limbaugh, and several fat old rich men told me so. They’re way smarter than scientists.

    Rocky: Until it started threatening our ski season, global warming was classified as a S.E.P. (Someone Else’s Problem)
