Elan’s new SpeedWave technology is meant to give a soft longitudinal flex but stiff lateral flex. That means it would be super easy to carve turns while actually holding an edge instead of washing out. Sadly, the SpeedWave skis don’t come with the weed-smoking, black-market MIG helmet featured in all the Elan ads—which is the real shame since there’s no way SpeedWave works as well as Elan’s saying.
