Reynolds “Renny” Yater shaped the original War Bounty Surfboard for Apocalypse Now. Robert Duvall kept the original, but now Yater has made 90 more replicas of the 9-foot, single-fin longboard. All but one have been sold, and the last one’s going up on eBay on January 1, 2007 to benefit an Outward Bound program for vets with post-traumatic stress disorder.
